I'm here to let you know that the rumours of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. I have returned to the blessed motherland of Saskatchistan for the summer months before I make landfall in Lethbridge. I am glad to have left behind the many failings of Medicine Hat behind.

It wasn't all bad, though. I reawakened the joy of making movies, found out I might have some design chops if I work at it, made new friends and lost others. Also, without MHC I'd have no portfolio, and wouldn't be going to the U of L this fall. I'd be in a call centre, wondering if that rafter will hold my bloated frame for the brief time needed to snap my neck or asphyxiate me before the next call comes in.

This will be a summer of business. Wagner and the brother are scheming to make a film with me, so far it involves the walking dead and the use of a car battery to remove the walking aspect. For inspiration I watched Lordi's Dark Floors. The movie did some things really well. The plot needed more exposition but the movie was not as bad as I'd been led to believe. It was better than Dragonball: Evolution, whose terribleness index falls somewhere between my love life and having my first firearm stolen. Dark Floors pulled off a well done atmosphere of dread, simply by using lighting. I was taking mental notes.

This gallery's been a little dead, I have a legit portfolio site now(mattv.squad306.com). But there's still a place for this little guy. That and this one's easy to update, unlike my site. The shit I endure because I enjoy the aesthetics. Art and some design will arrive later, I promise. I need to before my drawing fingers atrophy. I enjoy her work immensely but if I keep outsourcing all my art needs to Bef I'll never get better, eh?

Hmmm... too many big words, this journal lacks my usual maddening tendencies. Pineapple shithamster twatwaffle sundae with a side of mangravy. There, much better.

What a weekend it's been.

On Friday I came home to put some newly acquired shells in my gun locker. Only to find out that the shotgun that I'd inherited WASN'T FUCKING THERE!!!!! Somehow someone found the spare key, opened the locker and stole the gun and cleaning kit. But nothing else.

The wigged out factor's at 11 on this one kiddies. But I called the cops, it's in the system now, here's hoping Johnny Gun Thief fucks up somewhere and gets nailed. Hopefully by a .40 S&W hollowpoint when he does something silly.

And then on Saturday whilst at Justin and AJ's I was summoned up from the basement to find that some British dude hit the Great Red Shark while it was parked. So, two karmic teabags, both requiring the police.

The things come in threes, who knows what Sunday will bring me. Just to be safe I'm wearing my damn kevlar vest from the security days.....

I have the plague,

But it will not stop me form Friday's plot to built a lotta Orks.

I should be in the Hat.

I should be with my Hat mates and my hetero lifemate doing strange things.

I should be assembling the last of the Orks I scored off Jock.

But my car needed new tires and my jacket needed a zipper. And these fun delays are why it's a good thing Link was able to see the nerd her back to the Hat.

Tomorrow I hit the road, tomorrow I play D&D after a 4 hour road trip.
